At one point he had collected over fifty! Well, into the container they went, along with many, many sprigs of my violas... (gggrrr... :0) ) Said caterpillars ate... and ate... and ate some more! A few of them didn't care for their new home and didn't make it. While many of the others thrived! As time went on, we found new life in a variety of moths!
Over the weekend we had an exceptionally exciting moment... We were able to watch one butterfly emerge from its chrysalis! Now we have another new friend in our "Butterfly Garden of Life!"

Awesome! And you could actually discover what plant they would eat. We find the occasionally caterpillar but it always seems lost so we don't know what to feed it.

Awesome! We have Gulf Fritillary chrysalis right now. We also have several caterpillars making their way to becoming chrysalis. My kids LOVE watching them!
