"As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place." Proverbs 27:8. It was a great reminder that our lives are God's plan. The good, the bad and the ugly. During the highs on the mountain tops, and the trials of our valleys, He is at work in our lives! It is not for us to change everything when things get tough, but to seek His will and see what He is calling us to do.
Caterpillar is enjoying the lessons as well as being able to color. I think he did a pretty good job!
This week has been another fantastic week with Heart of Dakota! In Preparing Hearts for His Glory this week, Caterpillar and I learned more about Creation, Noah and the Flood as well as the Ice Age. We discovered more details about Noah's descendants, and life after the great Flood.
For the history project this week, we studied warm and cool colors. We chose to use various bits of colored paper for our collage.
We also made a watercolor painting of a rainbow. Not only does it represent the Covenant Promise God made to never flood the earth again, yet also that God is faithful to those who believe! Amen!
Caterpillar worked diligently on his written narration this week. He gave a great recount of the story of Jabeth and the cave bear hunt, including many of the details!
In Science, we continued our study of the Arctic Tundra. It was thrilling to hear how the animals survived the deep chill of the North! We completed the week with an experiment. Caterpillar determined that ice will melt much quicker under warmer conditions, especially when it is almost 100 degrees fairenheit outside!

Awesome! You are making me wish we were doing Preparing. LOL, although we are enjoying our guides also.
I love the Pictures from Proverbs! Why do I have to see all this great stuff AFTER my curriculum is all purchased?? : )
