Fiery Autumn
Crimson, orange, golden, mahogany,
Brightly colored leaves;
Swirling all around me,
Covering the forest's trees.
Birds migrating,
Squirrels quickly scurrying;
Gathering of nuts and berries,
Thickening coats become furry.
Roasting of marshmallows,
Bonfires a blaze;
Telling of family stories
In the olden days.
