Daily Comfort and Rest

Life is a journey of many triumphs and times of trial. We experience the vast array of emotions in life that only the human heart and flesh can experience, some of them several times throughout our lifetime. Yet there are moments when we feel so elated and joyous, that noone else could ever feel any higher on that mountain top than ourselves. Or when things are so difficult and painful, how could anyone else possibly phathom the depths of our heart and soul?

Jesus came in the flesh, to be fully human, and completely blameless. He came to allow us the freedom to be fully human, in Him, and righteous through Him! When we are in Him, we are fully human, and never alone!


Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:14-16

At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Matthew 11:25-30

May I never forget how fully human I am, in Him. Through trials and triumphs, I am never alone.
