Our schoolroom however, is not just a schoolroom.
It is also the playroom.
The reading corner.
The craft corner.
The teacher corner.
It is a large L-shaped room over our garage.
It is the most lived in and most loved part of our home.
(Aside from the kitchen, that is... because who doesn't love food!)
When you come up the stairs, this is wall/area you are facing.
This is the right side view of the room. It has several bookshelves which are home to a multitude of many wonderful things! There you will find all of our manipulatives for language arts, math, science, history and geography. There are many wonderful educational games and toys.
This is our beanbag and building area. What a combination. We spend many wonderful hours reading on the beanbag together. When Caterpillar has some free time, he can often be found building with legos, k-nek or rokenbok. The beanbag is easily moved for various activities.
This is a full shot of the shelves that hold all our educational manipulatives, games, toys, puzzles, school supples, Caterpillar's notebooks, and even some books!
This is the left side view of the room when you come up the stairs.
This is our book basket and reading area. Caterpillar enjoys sitting in the rocking chair reading anything from history and geography, to science and various literature. Quite often you may find one of his 'friends' listening at storytime too!
This is our teaching wall.
To the left in this picture are my bookshelves with teacher manuals and tons of great resources we love!
Here is the teacher's corner... my desk area.
To the right of my desk is a small workspace and our craft corner.
This is a full shot of our craft area.
It is nice to have it organized finally so that we can find everything!
This project has been so worth the work and effort.
We love our schoolroom!

Wow!! My kids would think they had died and gone to heaven. Our kitchen IS our school room. LOL. Beautiful room.
