Wednesday: During breakfast.
Caterpillar: "Mommy, I don't feel good. I can't do school today."
Butterfly: "I'm sorry dear, it's a school day, we have to do school."
Caterpillar: "I can only do a little school today."
Butterfly: "We will take it one subject at a time, OK?"
Catterpillar: "Allright. I still can't do alot."
15 minutes later, getting dressed.
Caterpillar: "I feel miserable."
Butterfly: "Get dressed."
Caterpillar: "I am, but I still feel miserable."
Butterfly: "Come here Caterpillar."
I kiss his forehead.
I feel his cheeks.
He is warm.
I take his temperature.
101.2 F
Butterfly: "Time for some tylenol my dear."
Caterpillar: "Do I have to?"
Butterfly: "Yes, dear. It will help you not feel miserable."
Caterpillar: "Allright."
Through the rest of the week we have done a little school here and there in little blocks of time. Caterpillar has been such a good patient. Even though he has been felling sick and running a low fever off and on through the week, he has been kind and sweet to Mommy. We have been studying 'Mercy' in our Bible/Character lessons, and it has been great timing!
Friday night:
Butterfly: "Bathtime Caterpillar."
Caterpillar: "Mooommmmmmy, just a few more minutes, pllleeeeaaaasssseeee?!?!"
Butterfly: "No, I have a special treat."
Caterpillar: "Oooohhh, what is it?!! Tell me, tell me!"

A Big Bubble Bath in the Big Bathtub!
