Mom: "Caterpillar, finish up breakfast, it's time to do chores and get ready for school."
Caterpillar: "I'm finishing my bananaaaa!"
Mom: "Hurry up, I want to start on time today!"
Caterpillar: "Yes Mommy, I'm eating."
Mom: "Did UPS arrive yet? I need to look over those math samples and decide what to use next year soon. I wish it would hurry up and come."
Caterpillar: "Did you check the weather? I need to know if it is going to rain on Friday, so I can play outside after school!"
Many times we find ourselves trying to hurry along life.
Often, I am trying to control circumstances and the outcome.
I am impatient.
I want to know what's next.
I need to have a plan.
I desire to know what is ahead.
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
Colossians 1:17
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name He has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
For to which of the angels did God ever say,
For to which of the angels did God ever say,
"You are my Son, today I have begotten you"?
Or again, "I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son"?
Or again, "I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son"?
Hebrews 1:3-5
The Lord's mercy is infinite.
His care for us is never-ending.
He is in control of everything.
Amen?!

Amen!! You and I sound like we were separated at birth. LOL! Thanks for the scripture.
I'm such a control freak!! But I don't want to pass that on to my children. Everyday I recite...
"Many are the plans in a man's heart but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
Oh Lord, makes us flexible to the opportunities you gift us with daily.
Otherwise I teach my child to trust in control, trust in the plan, trust in the schedule, rather than in his Heavenly Father's time table.
God is Sovereign even over the schedule.
