Busy, Busy, and Busy!

WOW! I can't believe the day after tomorrow will be Christmas Day! How quickly the time does fly! Especially when you are so busy, busy, busy! This time of year does tend to bring about alot of "busy" to our lives; Caterpillar and I have been working like little elves!

This year we decided to make many of our presents as well as our cards! It has been lots of work and even more fun! We have made some wonderful memories I thought I'd share through pictures.
These are luminaries which we made. We gently tore a variety of colored tissue paper into different size squares. Then they were "modge-podged" onto glass candle jars/holders. Once dried, we decorated them with many types of embellishments, snowflakes and the like. A final layer of "modge-podge" was added. They are really pretty once finished with a small candle lit inside. They make nice handmade gifts for children to give!
We have also found that trying to do too much can wear ourselves out, as it did Mommy! YIKES! Mommy has been feeling a little under the weather for the last several days, thus we will be resting and enjoying the true meaning of Christmas through the rest of the season.

We wish you all a Blessed and Joyous Christmas!

I love this idea and we did something like it last year by making all of the Grandparents homemade gifts. I would love to make ALL homemade gifts though. I think it makes the value so much greater.

Merry Christmas!
